Welcome to all our visitors to our website, especially to those who didn’t know about us until I visited their churches in Scotland, Carlisle, Swansea, and the West Midlands. In January, I travelled to Scotland, daring to risk what the weather might throw down! But as it happened, the elements were kind and cooperative, and I was able to visit Perth, Larkhall, Motherwell, and Glasgow. I had been to all the churches before, except the Church of the Nazarene in Perth. The fellowship was great, and I wish I could have stayed longer. There’s a great need for a Torch Fellowship Group in Perth. The same can be said of Carlisle. This was a first-time visit to the Baptist church there, and I’m so glad to report that there are moves now to establish such a Group in the Carlisle area. I should have been in West Yorkshire in February, but this was postponed due to the “Promotion to glory” of Margaret’s dear old mum. “Peggy”, as she was affectionately known, was loved by many, and no tribute to a mother-in-law could really do her justice. She was sociable, chatty – putting folks at their ease, and at the end, just faded away on 14th February. We miss her in many different ways. Each night at about 9.30, she would ring us and say, “Just to say goodnight” and – “See you in the morning!” She has said “Goodnight” for the last time, but we know assuredly that we shall see her in the morning. On the 22nd February, Margaret came with Huw Priday and me to “Season at the Mill” in Dudley, W. Midlands. This is a series of events at the Mill theatre over a period of two weeks. Huw and I did a concert of gospel songs, piano solos and informal chat. Perhaps the publicity could have been organized better: even so, about a hundred folk were present on this very cold Wednesday evening. And the last Sunday in February was a welcome return for us to Risca Pentecostal church. We thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship there, and the big opportunity in the gospel. It was so good to meet a lady who was about to go through the waters of baptism, and who had trusted the Saviour on our last visit. God sometimes gives these encouragements, even though we don’t look for them, It’s enough for us to do His will. Have a look at the updates of the newsletter and diary, and don’t forget the online shop. And to end on a colourful note, during his air test a young pilot flew through a rainbow! And as we always say:
keep looking in. Keep looking up! He passed with flying colours. To return to the home page - click here
